Education and Professional Designations
BOMA Iowa offers a variety of seminars and classes to benefit its members. It offers the BOMI Institute curriculum leading to the nationally recognized Real Property Administrator (RPA), Facilities Management Administrator (FMA), Systems Maintenance Administrator (SMA) and Systems Maintenance Technician (SMT) designations. At this time, only self-study is offered during the year for the RPA and FMA designations. Classroom study is offered for the SMT and SMA designations. For more information, go to our education page.
Real Estate CEU Credits
How do I get CEU credits?
E-mail Susan Griffel at susan.griffel@iowa.gov informing her of the classes you’ve taken with a short description or class flyer and hours of class. Fax her (515-281-7411) the Certificate of Completion to confirm that you’ve attended the class. Susan reviews and sends back an e-mail stating that the class is approved for “x” number CEU’s towards your RE license renewal. Again, they apply towards your elective hours. However, she has accepted BOMA’s Ethics class as mandatory credit. Keep this documentation and send it in at the time of your renewal.

BOMA International also offers a wide range of special publications on a variety of topics.
The Home Depot Member Rebate Program
BOMA International and The Home Depot have teamed up to offer BOMA members a 2% annual rebate on qualifying Home Depot purchases, plus extra services and savings. BOMA members have earned several million dollars in rebates to date.
